An English Goldendoodle is a crossbreed between an English Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They are known for being intelligent, playful, fun, and loving. They have a more "Boxy" head and heavier bone structure compared to American Goldendoodles, giving them an adorable "Teddy Bear" look. An Australian Goldendoodles ( not to be confused with an Aussiedoodle) is a cross between an Australian Labradoodle and an English Goldendoodle. They are known for their intelligence, hypoallergenic coat, and friendly disposition.
An Australian Labradoodle was first bred in Australia with the intent to be an allergy friendly service dog. It is a mix of breeds including the Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and English or American Cocker Spaniel. They are known for being hypoallergenic and having a non-shedding coat, making it a popular choice for individuals with allergies. Their intelligence, gentle nature, and sociable demeanor, make them an excellent choice for families, therapy work, and service dog training.
Puppies typically mature somewhere between the mother's and father's size. However, it's important to note that some puppies may end up smaller or larger than either parent. While we can give you an idea of the size they will mature at, we cannot guarantee it. Every puppy is unique and their growth can be influenced by various factors such as genetics, diet, early spay/neuter. We understand the importance of knowing the potential size of your puppy and can provide guidance based on the breed and genetics, but it's important to keep in mind that there may be variations.
We require all of our puppies to be spayed or neutered between 8-16 months of age. It is essential for the health and well-being of the puppies and contributes to responsible pet ownership. If we do not receive confirmation of the spay/neuter, our health guarantee will be voided, and an additional fee will apply. This policy helps ensure that all our puppies are placed in loving and responsible homes, in alignment with our commitment to the welfare of our puppies.
We microchip all of our puppies before they go home. This ensures that each puppy has a unique identification in case they ever get lost or separated from their owners. Additionally, we take the responsibility of transferring the microchip into the new owner's name once proof of spay/neuter is received. This not only ensures the safety and security of our puppies but also reflects our commitment to responsible pet ownership and the well-being of our puppies. Please ensure to keep your contact information updated with the microchip company.
Yes, they are considered allergy friendly due to their low-non shedding coat and low dander. However, it's important to note that no dog is completely hypoallergenic, and individual reactions can vary.
We understand that welcoming a new baby is a busy and life changing time. Many families hope for their children and puppies to grow up together, but having two “babies” at once can be a lot to manage. Puppies need time, training, and attention, and we want to help avoid any situations where families feel overwhelmed and are unable to keep their puppy. For this reason, you might consider waiting until your family has settled in before bringing a puppy home, ensuring both your family and your puppy receive the care and attention they need.
Goldendoodles are friendly, gentle, and playful, making them an excellent choice for families. It is important to always supervise your child's interaction with the puppy, and never allow them to squeeze, drag, hit, or lay on the puppy. Teaching children how to properly approach, pet, and interact with the Goldendoodle is essential for fostering a positive and safe relationship between the dog and the child. We recognizes the importance of matching the right Goldendoodle with the right family, taking into consideration both the temperament of the dog and the needs of the family.
Goldendoodles thrive on companionship and being around their families. If you are gone all day for work and away most evenings for activities, a Goldendoodle may not be the best fit for your lifestyle. They do not do well alone for extended periods of time and may become overly stressed, exhibit separation anxiety, or destructive behaviour if left alone frequently. It's important to consider a pet's needs for social interaction and companionship when deciding if a Goldendoodle is the right pet for you. Consider alternative arrangements like doggy daycare or a pet sitter if you have a busy schedule.
Every family has their own preferences when choosing a puppy. Some may have specific requirements, such as color, size, coat type, or energy level. Each puppy also has a unique personality, so sometimes a puppy may not be the perfect fit for a family’s lifestyle and is therefore available. Our goal is to help every puppy find their forever family.
While we prefer all puppies to be picked up on their scheduled take-home day, we are happy to accommodate extended stays for an additional fee. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements for your puppy's extended stay, and we will work with you to ensure your puppy is well taken care of until you return. For those who need extra days, there is a charge of $30 per day for extended stays, or you can enrol your puppy in our Head Start program to get a jumpstart on training. Please note that extended stays are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.
Visits are scheduled for families on our waiting list during designated visitation days or at puppy pick-up.
Some of our adult dogs live in guardian homes and are not always on site. Our mom dogs may also return to their guardian families once puppies are weaned and may not be available to meet at pick-up.
For the safety of our dogs and puppies, we do not offer tours of our home, nursery, or whelping areas.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the health and welfare of our puppies.
