How to Adopt
Step 1
Application & Deposits
If you're interested in adopting a puppy, and would like to be placed on one of our waitlist, please fill out our Puppy Application.
Once your application is approved, we require a $200 (*non-refundable) deposit to hold your spot on the waitlist of your choice. Deposits can be made by e-transfer to doodlebear@live.ca
We accept a limited amount of deposits per waitlist, and will reopen the list once the puppies are born.

*Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not hear back from us within 2 business days.
Step 2
Reserve
After the puppies arrive, I will contact families and let you know how many puppies are in the litter, colours, and their genders.
An addition $300 is due at this time (total deposit is $500). Your deposit goes towards the price of your puppy.
If we do not hear back from you or we do not receive the second part of your deposit within 48 hours, your name will move to the next available litter with an opening.
Step 3
Once the second half of your deposit has been received, you will be given the password to our Puppy Portal. We will post all of the puppies information, pictures, videos and updates on this page, so make sure to check it often.
Step 4
Puppy Selection
At 7 weeks, after the temperament evaluation has been completed, families are invited to meet and choose their puppy. Appointments are made in the order that we have received the deposits.
*If you're unable to make it to your scheduled appointment for puppy selection, we will work with you remotely to guide you through the process.
Your remaining balance will be due this day, right after you select your puppy.
Step 5
Go Home Day
We book our appointments in 30-minute intervals. *We will have longer appointments (45 minutes) if puppy selection is on the same day as pickup. Please arrive on time so we do not have any overlapping appointments as we don't want families to feel rushed to end their appointment early.
Families that aren't able to be picked up their puppy by the designated pickup date, will charged $25/day.
* If we cannot provide you with a puppy within one year, we will refund your deposit. However, if you pass on a puppy/litter that meets your specifications, your deposit will no longer be refundable, but is transferable to other litters for up to 3 years.
